Early in the morning, a new notice was pinned to each of the house common room's bulletin board:

The tables have been pushed aside in the Great Hall to make way for large racks of gowns and dressrobes. There are also racks of costumes and props, such as fairy wings, prince and princess crowns, and fake swords. There's items from every wizarding and muggle fairytale one could imagine. Dressing rooms line the back of the Great Hall, where the staff table normally sits. Towards the doors are tables filled with drinks and snacks. All of this eagerly awaited the students as they made their way down to the Great Hall.

Gaia walked in with her stack of muggle fairy tales and gown magazines. This was her favorite part of the ball... well after the dancing, food, her friends... Gaia laughed to herself.

Looking through the crowd of students Gaia spotted Beth and went up to her setting down her load of books and magazines on a side table. "I think we should get a mirror and set our area!"

"What a wonderful idea, ," Beth told Gaia. Beth looked around the Great Hall for a mirror. Spotting a large full length mirror, she shouted "Accio Mirror!"

"Oops. I'm sorry. That could have ended badly," Beth apologized.

"I also brought one of my favorite fairy tale books from back home. I haven't a clue who I'ld like to dress up as," she told .

She wondered if anyone else would join them.

"I am not sure either. Maybe I should go as the fairy Godmother!" Gaia laughed at the idea "Muggles have a way to make story telling fun when they add magic to it!"

"Yes, they do," Beth nodded in agreement. "You definitely act like a fairy godmother. You help make everyone's wishes come true," she told .

"Oh." Gaia blushed at Beth's words "I was thinking more of the glittery and poofy dresses. I also like that she has a catch phrase!" Gaia smiled at her friend. "What else do we need here? I have a table for accessories right here." ()

Rox walked in and saw all the racks with costumes. She was so excited to dress up for the ball. She looked around the room and noticed MG (). "Any idea pn the outfit you're going to wear to the ball?" she asked after she walked over to her.

Aderyn skipped into the great hall a few minutes after everyone else, glancing around until she noticed her friends. She crossed the hall, standing at the table beside Gaia and Beth, smiling widely as she looked at the magazines Gaia had brought down. She'd seen those kinds of magazines before as a child - her best friend had been a muggle and so she'd been exposed to that kind of thing. Still, she loved looking through them.

"Hi ladies!"

"I don't know! I have a couple of dresses, but nothing really befitting the theme! I'm going to keep my wings out, anyway - perfect for a fairytale theme! What about you?"

() "I will most likely choose later. You can look at the magazines and such. If you like a dress we can always fix the back for your wings!"

"I'm sure we can come up with some fun charms or enchantments for all of our dresses, too!"

Adrien strode into the Great Hall and once he saw his friends, made his way over to them. "Hey everyone!" he said as he walked up behind Aderyn, Beth, and Gaia. He sat at the table, "There's so much stuff going on here..." he trailed off, looking at all the clothing and magazines around him, pulling one of the books closer towards him to look at the cover.

Therefore, she didn't have many friends and wondered what the others might think of her. She took a deep breath as she walked up to the doorway leading in, and poked her head around first to scan the area.

"Doesn't look like there's many people here yet," she said quietly to herself, and as she did so a boy walked past her, staring at her with a strange expression as if he were wondering what in the world she was doing. She smiled at him and made her way into the room.

She had decided this year that she wanted to be Tinkerbell, although she was unsure of why she was even going as she didn't even have a date! Though she figured there was enough time for that later. She walked up to one of the racks close to the other students, her hair looking especially purple today, and began looking through the items available.

"Hm, what do I need.. green drees, green shoes, some wings, a wig.." She laughed to herself. She didn't need a wig, she would just colour her hair on her own like she always did, with a spell.

Magnus groaned at the theme for the ball--faerie tales. He wasn't sure what to think let alone if he should bother dressing up or make up his own look. He had sent a letter to his father telling of having a date for the ball. He waved at his friends and looked rather unsure.

() "Any ideas yet?" Gaia said when she noticed her friend looking at the books.

() "I am excited to do some enchanting! I am thinking a lot of sparkle!" Gaia giggled and then turned to all her friends.

"Have you all got dates? Planning on asking someone?" Gaia grinned waiting to hear the details. ( )

"Thanks but I'd rather not," he said frowning. "It's one o' those times, I'd rather not accent the werewolf thing. At this rate, I'm thinkin' o' cheating and just dressing as I want and if anyone asks, claimin' I'm prince Charming."

() "Are you getting Mooney again?" Gaia said with mocked impatience. "You can be whatever you want! YOU should read the ending of the book... it is the Muggle Disney version and I think you will appreciate it!" Gaia wiggled her eyebrows at Magnus "You can also be prince Charming... I heard you have a date!" Gaia winked at her friend and then giggled.
